GUIDELINES FOR TUTORS

All PTC applicants must meet the following criteria. Please ensure you meet these standards before applying:  

  • 1st and 2nd yr candidates will be considered for summer placements and summer tuition roles only

  • 3rd year/ finalist graduates

  • 2:1, First Class or Distinction Degree (expected or achieved)

  • Alumnus/a of a Russell Group University

  • Fluent/ native level English

  • Experience of tutoring and working with young people

  • DBS clearance or willing to undergo DBS check

  • Academic or professional reference

Submit your CV and contact details below. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a brief introductory video interview. The third stage is an in-person meeting in London where tutors will be able to discuss teaching methods and subject materials in more detail. 

Please note if you have not heard from us within 2  weeks of your application, it has not been successful.  We do not provide feedback for individual applications.

All successful candidates are requested to provide Qualification certification, a DBS certificate alongside a letter of reference (professional or academic) prior to commencing tuition.

TUTOR DRESS CODE

All members of the PTC team are politely requested to adhere to our dress code, during interview and lessons, which is smart.

Men’s dress code:

  • Formal shirt (long or short sleeve, pale colours recommended (white, light blue, pale pinstripe etc).
  • Formal trousers
  • Formal shoes or loafers.
  • Ties are not required.

Women’s dress code:

  • Formal shirt (long or short sleeve) in pale colours only (white, pale blue, striped)
  • Plain top in pale colours only (white, pale blue, striped).
  • Formal trousers
  • Knee-length skirt (plain)
  • OR
  •  Knee-length dress (plain).
  • Formal shoes

Please note jeans and trainers are not permitted . The dress code must be adhered to during interview, lessons (including online) and placements. If you are uncertain about the dress code, email enquiries@privatetuitionclub.com and our team will be happy to help.
